Have you ever thought about how much money you spend on cable TV? I'm guessing a typical monthly cable bill is around $75. Some people are probably paying a lot more. I know I was. It pissed me off so much when it went up, what seemed like every month - $.25 here, $.40 there. After 12 months it seemed like it had gone up $5-$10. Remember when TV used to be free?! Now I know the cable companies offer deals from time to time and you can save a little money for 12 months before it goes back up. But here's an idea. Cancel cable altogether. OK, that sounds a bit harsh. In fact, I haven't even done that. I tried though. I went to radio shack and bought the digital antenna and all that. Unfortunately the direction my apt faces is not conducive to getting a decent signal - I was only able to get 1 or 2. However, if I could have got just the basic channels, I'd have been done with it. Instead, I pay about $16 a month for limited basic cable. And guess what? I don't miss it at all. I find that I spend a lot less time sitting on the couch watching mindless shows about housewives and home selling. Not only that but in the 6 months since I've cancelled most of the channels, I've saved about $450. I don't know about you but I could use an extra $450. Give it a try. You can always sign up again - and they'll probably give you a deal to sign back up too. So either way you save money.
Sincerely,
Million Dollar Zombie
